1.2     JDBC Architecture

The API uses a JDBC Driver Manager and drivers for specific database to connect to openly heterogeneous database. The JDBC driver manager ensures that the correct driver is used to access a data source. The Driver Manager is capable of supporting drivers competitors to connect to different databases.
