3.2 Download and Install Connector/J 5.1

• If you are working with Netbeans5.5 :

From  www.mysql.com  download driver for access to MySql AB :

mysql-connector-java-5.1.5.zip

For install unzip it  in a folder on default disc :

C:\mysql-connector-java-5.1.5              (WindowsXP)

/usr/local/mysql-connector-java-5.1.5    (Linux)

Browsing folder  the driver is the file

mysql-connector-java-5.1.5-bin.jar

•  If you are working with Netbeans6.0 :

Well, in Netbeans6.0 the MySQL(Connector/J driver) is bundled with installation IDE. You must cannot  download driver it is at ready!
Check in the path follow:

C:\Programs\NetBeans 6.0\ide8\modules\ext\mysql-connector-java-5.0.7-bin.jar      (WindowsXP)

/usr/local/netbeans-6.0/ide8/modules/ext/mysql-connector-java-5.0.7-bin.jar            (Linux)
